Lessons in
Bonney Lake.

Garage Built Baseball lives in Bonney Lake — up on the Tehaleh plateau, a short hop from any of the Sumner-Bonney Lake schools. If your player runs with Bonney Lake-Sumner Little League or plays Bonney Lake High School ball, you're a few minutes away.

We're at 18404 138th St E — five minutes from anywhere in town.
Why families from Bonney Lake

1-on-1, on film, with a plan that comes home.

Most local training options mean driving to Puyallup or Auburn for a shared facility split between twenty other players. We're a 1-on-1 garage, run by two coaches who grew up around this kind of ball. Every session is filmed. Every player leaves with a written practice plan.

Coach Andy Layman — headshot in the dugout

Coach Andy Layman

Mechanics · HS Prep

Coach Andy played shortstop through Ellensburg High School before moving to center field at Central Washington University (2006–2008). He's been coaching since 2008 — first at Ellensburg HS, then summer ball with the Cle Elum Lumberjacks, and the last three years at Bonney Lake-Sumner Little League.

Andy's coaching philosophy: build confidence, get consistent reps, and meet each kid where they actually are. Mental toughness gets equal weight — in a game where failing 60% of the time still makes you elite, the inside game matters as much as the swing.

At GBB, Andy focuses on hitting mechanics, the mental game, and high-school prep — and can work with any age.

Coach Dylan Winner

Fundamentals · Defensive Foundations

Coach Dylan grew up in Southern California's competitive South Bay scene, playing catcher, pitcher, and first base from 1994 to 2005 — including championship-winning Freshman and JV teams at Narbonne High School. He's been coaching kids ages 4 to 8 for three years, most recently the 2026 Tehaleh Padres.

Dylan's philosophy: watch first, then meet the kid where they are. Every lesson should end with four things — they had fun, they learned something new, they got better, they walked away more confident.

At GBB, Dylan focuses on defensive foundations and a fundamentals-first approach — and can work with any age.

FAQ · Bonney Lake

Where do you train Bonney Lake families?

At our garage gym in Bonney Lake, WA. We share the exact address after you book your first session. We're at 18404 138th St E — five minutes from anywhere in town.

What ages do you coach?

Five through eighteen. Either coach can work with any age — Coach Dylan focuses on defensive foundations and fundamentals, Coach Andy on hitting mechanics, swing decisions, and the inside game.

Is the first session really free?

Yes. The first 30-minute session is on us — recorded, walked through after, and you walk out with a coach analysis. No commitment to book again, no card on file. Whether you book a second session or not, you keep the footage.

Are sessions recorded? Who can see them?

Every session, every rep. Footage gets uploaded to our YouTube as an unlisted video — only people with the link can watch. We send the link to you the same week along with a written practice plan.

What does the practice plan look like?

A coach-written email in your inbox within 48 hours: what your kid worked on, what's going well, the one thing to focus on this week, and 2-4 specific drills to run at home with cues + a video demo for each.

What does it cost after the free session?

Forty-five dollars per 30-minute session at standard rate. Thirty-five dollars if you grab a Founding 10 spot — the first ten families to enroll lock in that rate for six months. We don't push memberships at families who don't want them.

Do you do team clinics or small groups?

Yes — small-group clinics for 4 to 8 players, usually run on weekends. Hit our contact form to put your team on a list and we'll work out a time.
